Fun Fact??? I was driving to the Spit in 1996 and past some Mountain Bikers that unfortunately ate my dust going the other way.

Unbeknownst to me the Discovery Network Eco Challenge final transition area was the windsurfing area of the Spit, and the Mtn Bikers most probably rode the Chekamus Challenge Mtn Bike race route to the Whistler finish.

So Eco Challenge illuminaries... rafting and mtn biking but they should have added a windsurfing leg!
