Steady SW 18-22. Perfect to attempt kite foiling again. Now comfortably water starting and getting on the board straight ... now what

Good job!! This is a wild guess, but bend that front knee to shift weight forward to stop the wheelie. Straighten it a little to lift off. Maybe back on the SB tomorrow at 3rd??

Thanks for the tips. My next step is figuring out how to taxi. Francis says I have a bad habit of parking my kite at 12 o'clock after I get upright on the board. I'm confident I can figure out the rest quickly after I get taxi-ing down.

Cloudier than expected but good day for practice body dragging a kite foil board upwind in chest deep water. Harder than I thought with my left hand holding the board on its side. Other way was much easier.

Too windy to kite foil with Jerry's 60 cm mast ... so had to settle for an epic SW 25-30+ session on 5m+surfboard. Waves were super clean down at Nexen. Don't know how Alton Jr could hold down her 5m when I had plenty of depower on my 5m.

Fantastic Day. At noon the lulls and gusts were too challenging so I gave up meeting Francis who took my foil upwind. Since Alton Jr was already there she took my place.

Within 1 hour Alton Jr figured out how to water start, taxi and kite foil both directions in not the most ideal conditions. Not sure if I should be a proud father or feel like an inadequate beta cuck.

On the bright side, my favourite daughter can be my upwind kite foil taxi service.

Alton Jr was my Uber Foil Taxi Service today. I struggled to get upwind on her 4'10" surfboard with 8m in SW 16-18 so met her halfway before switching boards.

Managed to taxi with some micro-flights on foil on port tack (1 in 5 attempts). The key was to twist my body upwind immediately after waterstarting.

Still need to figure out waterstarting on starboard before becoming independent.

Struggled to get upwind to catch my Uber Foil ride. Only managed a few port tack rides in crappy wind before calling it a day. Wind seemed localized around the river. Plenty of high/med cloud probably spoiled the day.

Forecast said it was gonna be a bit gusty today. And it was! But nbd. 15 to 25 out of Nexen, which is gusty by Squampton standards, but no biggie if you've ever ridden anywhere else.

Tomorrow similar. Maybe a bit less wind, but a bit steadier. Come and get some before the rain arrives this weekend!

Classic Squamish SW 18-22 - stronger and steadier than yesterday ... perfect for learning kite foiling. After 5 attempts got taxi-ing and micro-flights on foil for several minutes until I hit a sandbar. Wind was lighter upwind so eventually figured out signing the kite aggressively was the key. Still trying to figure out waterstarting starboard side ... got up a couple of times.

Great way to end the week with a big turn out and big smiles.
