Breach. Launched at 4th to allow for more sailing time. Tsawwassen (wing), Jens (windsurfing), Gleb (kite) were there too. Thought I missed the peak wind but luckily there was a third hump! While I was rigging medium gear full flat (4.5/92) it amped up! Way up!
Took to the water during a lull and it felt surprisingly manageable, until it wasn't! Came in and rigged small gear (3.8/79) and got a few rides on the backside of the peak of the wind. Followed Mike out on one reach, gybed and the wind backed. Wallowed back to the beach to exit above Centennial to find the lip of the beach had been breached by the storm surge and the beach was gone! Navigated my way back to 4th to grab the medium gear again to finish off the session! The last stint felt a touch like Squamish at times with two kites off 4th banging off repeated no-look boosting, no-look turns, and short tacking. Warm air made for a comfy session. Much better conditions than yesterday (only a look-see for me yesterday)!

Launched from 4th to avoid the gate closure at 5pm. Started on 5.0 89ltr around 2.30 and wind was very strange, felt like it was shifting between SE and ESE on the inside and full ESE on the outside, started of a little undergunned, rigged the sail for more power, good for a few more reaches but then the wind really kicked in, rigged down to 4.5 and when i hit the water I wished I had went for 4.0. Stuck with the 4.5, was a handful at times but overall manageable and wind levelled out a bit, waves got really good and had some sweet rides. Wind completely died on the inside after sunset and ended up with a bit of a swim, ended up at the centennial launch and back at the car 5.20.
